On 21 February 2024, "Italian Tech Landscape" was presented in Milan, the first study in the world to offer a comprehensive overview of the software market in Italy. The project is the brainchild of entrepreneur Max Brigida (founder of the "Software Italiani" ecosystem), with the patronage of AssoSoftware and the collaboration of Cerpem (the Research Centre for Southern Italy).
The study presents many interesting data, demonstrating that the software sector is booming in Italy and that its presence has a not inconsiderable weight within the country's market.
In particular, it emerged that the total turnover of Italian software houses (out of over 1,500 software) is 3,48 billion euros, with an average per company of 6,78 million euros, and a total incidence on the country's GDP of 0.18%. Furthermore, the study tells us that software companies employ a total of 23.109 people, with an average of 42 per company.
It makes us very happy to know that Openapi is among the fast-growing Italian software companies: in fact our Marketplace appears in the Italian Tech Landscape project. For years now we have been committed to ensuring that the development of the company can have its own relevance not only at a national level but also at an international level, because we are convinced that a joint effort of all the realities operating in the world of software can bring great benefits to the world economy. This is already happening, and is demonstrated by the data of the study we are part of.
We would also like to take this opportunity to anticipate that Openapi will be present for the second consecutive year at "ISWEEK® - the week of Italian Software", the great event on technology Made in Italy that will be held from 8 to 12 April 2024. It will also take place in live streaming so you can connect from anywhere in Italy or the world.
It will certainly be a great opportunity to exchange views with other experts in the field and find new ideas to apply to our ecosystem.
In the coming weeks, we will be able to tell you more about our presence at the event: follow us on our LinkedIn and Facebook channels to stay up-to-date on the initiatives conceived by Openapi and/or in which we participate as guests.
