SPID (Public Digital Identity System) is the fundamental, and mandatory, tool for accessing online services of the Public Administration (e.g. INPS and Agenzia delle Entrate).

Thanks to SPID with a single Digital Identity it is possible to check one's INPS (National Social Security Institute) position, consult the Electronic Health File, but also access the services of individual municipalities or regions. In addition, SPID is indispensable for applying for government bonuses or using the IO app.

Openapi allows you to integrate the online SPID application and activation service with Video Recognition mode included directly into your platform.

The API call allows you to obtain the url, which has a duration of 1 year, to proceed with video recognition and SPID activation.

Activation time for the digital identity is usually only a few minutes.

It is currently available via the API Personal SPID (1st and 2nd level with OTP)

• Level 1: allows access to services with username and password
• Level 2: allows access to services with username, password and an OTP (One Time Password) code, obtained by SMS on one's mobile phone.

The Personal SPID has a duration of 2 years, on expiry of which it is tacitly and systematically renewed from year to year.

We would like to remind you that the documents required to successfully complete the SPID recognition and activation procedure are:

• a valid Italian identification document (ID card, passport, driving licence)
• an Health Card or Tax Code Card (or their respective certificates of attribution)
• an e-mail address
• a mobile phone for personal use
